Refacing Process
We do a professional blueprint in your kitchen, by the Owner of Keystone Refacing. No Salesperson is involved so the cost is kept to a minimum. We make sure everything is precise and custom so there is no delay on the job. We then manufacture & customize your kitchen order and schedule your job for installation.
1} The first stage of the installation process is we remove your existing doors, drawer fronts and countertops if being replaced. These items are discarded. We do not reuse them.
2} We then electric sand down your frames to insure that a high quality bond will take place. Strengthening and repairing your cabinet frames is also part of our service.
3} We flush out the upper cabinet frames to insure a beautiful new cabinet look and it also keeps the underside clean from dirt buildup.
4} We now install pre-finished ¼” hardwood veneered plywood to the bottom and sides of the cabinets. These panels are slightly oversized and then routed to and exact fit.
5} 20 mil hot melt hardwood veneer is applied to the face frames, the veneer is cut exactly to match your stiles and rails. Then we file the veneer at all edges for a detailed box appearance.
6} Now we lightly sand the face frames and apply the stain and catalyzed conversion varnish. This is done only to the face frames as the sides are pre-finished.
6} Next, your beautiful new solid wood doors and drawer fronts are installed. We encourage our customers to purchase their own door pulls but we like to supply the self closing hinges due to retaining quality.
6) All moldings, toe kicks, bumper pads and countertops are then installed.
7) We then inspect our work from top to bottom to insure complete satisfaction.
8) Your beautiful new kitchen is complete
